About the Department

Inpatient and emergency services and paediatric subspecialties.  General paediatricians of high calibre are available 24 x 7 on all 365 days.  The service is supported by advanced age specific diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. The department is chaired by Prof. Latha Ravichandran who is also the Dean of Education.

Awards and Achievements of the Department:

• Department of Paediatrics was ranked 10^th best children clinical services in the country and 3^rd best in the region by Time Health Survey,  Honour - News Paper in 2020

• PICU was re-accredited as Level 3 PICU and also re-accredited for PICU Fellowship training in 2022

• Awarded for Breastfeeding Promotion by BPNI in 2023
