Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre did a unique fete of three heart transplants on consecutive days, on 10th, 11th and 13th of August 2016. Photo shows (R to L) patient Mr. Premkumar, Dr. T. Heart failure Registry was launched at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre today by Mr. V.R. Venkataachalam, Chancellor of Sri Ramachandra University to monitor patients on a long term and work out best methods of intervention for better health outcomes. Also seen in the picture are Dr. S.Thanikachalam, Chairman & Director, Cardiac Care Centre, Dr. T.R. Muralidharan, HOD, Cardiology and Dr. T. Periyasamy, HOD, Cardiothoracic Surgery.y, HOD, Cardiothoracic Surgery who performed the transplant.

For the first time in India, a medical team in Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Chennai has successfully used an “Artificial Lung” to save a 3 day old baby with a severe lung problem.
